Cindy Slides Under the Partisan Politics Bus, Weapons #1 Product of USA, Industrial
“If we don’t find alternatives to this corrupt ‘two’ party system our Representative Republic will die and be replaced with what we are rapidly descending into with nary a check or balance: a fascist corporate wasteland.”* – Cindy Sheehan
*http://www.thenation.com/docprint.mhtml?i=20070618&s=nichols
That is the main thrust of what Sheehan prophetically sees and says as she bids farewell to the finicky mania that citizen activism could disadvantageously be at martyrish times.
You end up Jesus on the Cross, when you just wanted to Give Peace a Chance. Not good having your son or daughter die for a cause falsely vamped and amped, killing tens of thousands of Iraqis, way more than the 5 or ten thousand Americans that passed in dedicated service to a George Bush-Dick Cheney-Condoleeza Rice-Karl Rove-run land of our forefathers.
Confucius say: “When a country is well governed, poverty and a mean condition are something to be ashamed of. When a country is ill governed, riches and honors are something to be ashamed of.”**
America today? Are we ashamed to make money investing our dollars in weapons, including weapons in space and the sudden new business opportunity of launching nuclear reactors into space to power these weapons, and colonies on the moon and Mars?
Fact: the Number One industrial product of America is: Weapons!****
You say you don’t invest in weapons that could destroy the Earth and start a new arms race in space to benefit the Lockheed Martins and Northrop Grumman corporations? If you do not look closely at your mutual funds, you may be an unknowing investor.
By the way, the Boston Globe newspaper reported in November 2006 that the US of A “provided nearly half the weapons sold to militaries in the developing world; was the major arms seller to the most unstable regions; sold to many nations already engaged in conflict; and grew sales to their highest level in eight years….”[###]
Depleted uranium bombs, to eternally pollute Iraq and Kosovo; selling arms to both sides in simmering conflicts; selling F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan, “with advanced medium-range air-to-air missiles. India is now considering a U.S. offer to sell them the same planes.” [###]
What are we doing through our government “sales programs” like those named “Foreign Military Sales” and “Commercial Sales?”
What about the biggest scam of all-time?
Yes, Star Wars, Missile Defense “will be the largest industrial project in the history of the planet.” according to Bruce Gagnon. “The profit potential for the space weapons industry is astronomical. But how will it be paid for?” Get “allies” who will pay some of the costs. How about
this quote from Space News, July 19, 1999? >>
“Many agencies run popular entitlement programs [medicare, medicaid, social security, welfare], but there is fat and pork aplenty to cut.” to feed the belly of the weapons makers, from these programs. Forget the health and hunger of our poorer, elderly citizens, and our children – the biggest portion of the population without any health insurance. Though medicare stealing is going to probably affect even YOU! As is social security culling, to pay for those Rods From God, and Project Prometheus. Nuclear reactors and nuclear batteries and nuclear waste, more and more of it. Feeding the minds of Americans with garbage like “nuclear power is green.”
What about the waste from nuclear power? Is there a more toxic waste than nuclear waste? Radioactive for hundreds of THOUSANDS of years! And no discovered way to safely store it. Not yet. Probably never will be discovered.
Oh, here is a very economical deal: estimated price tag to launch a rocketed visit to the moon: and NASA says this: $104 BILLION! Not bad. Not million either. BILLION. One hundred four BILLION DOLLAHS! And That is just for the visit. If ya wanna get off, settle down, mine the moon, nuclear reactorize the southern end of it, well, we have not figured that amount out yet. Not yet. Profits to be made by our corporate weapons/aerospace mongers and moray eels. And what about the overpricing factor, the underestimating, like the International Space Station that was supposed to cost taxpayers $10 Billion, but is now up to $100 billion, and not yet completed?
Meanwhile, as the craziness unfolds, if the Star Wars mavens want nuclear reactors to be shot up in rockets in some form, to power their pet profit projects, what about the radioactivity of a possible Challenger-like explosion? That could contaminate the entire east coast states essentially forever? Be aware that the likelihood of a rocket failure
for you gamblers, is not that much of a longshot at 1 out of every 10-20 attempts to shoot that missile off the concrete pad.
Yes, the aerospace corporations are lobbying and encouraging our corrupted politicians to put a colony on the moon, power it with nuclear reactor[s], and mine the metals possibly retrieveable. Especially the helium-3, one metric ton of which could earn $3 billion. For that mythical nuclear fusion, which may pollute the planet with tritium [see our Chernobyl articles ]. Talking about this planet, Earth.
AND, as Nazi Major General Walter Dornberger advised us after we smuggled him and 1500 other top Nazi scientists out of Germany after World War II: ‘America’s top space priority ought to be to “conquer, occupy, keep, and utilize space between the Earth and the Moon.” YAYE! Control the shipping lane between the Earth and our moon. With “space forces.” And space forces will be wont to be nuclear powered. And have to be launched from Earth to get there.
Plenty money due in this situation, thusly. For the aerospace industry. Put your dollars into the stocks of General Dynamics, Lockheed Martin, and Northrop Grumman if you want to profit, and can ignore your
moral feelings. That you will be poisoning your own children
and grandchildren with nuclear batteries to be made in Idaho; plutonium RTG?s for satellites and other spy vehicles and weapons. 55% Growth in military spending [adjusted for inflation] since George Bush took over the ship of State.
2005 Revenues for these big three: Lockheed Martin, $37 billion; Northrop Grumman, $32 billion; General Dynamics $21 billion. The big three of the aerospace industry.
So watch all the phony baloney Trojan Horses tromp through your living rooms, taking your hard earned wages and integrity. Accelerating nuclear space vehicles over your heads. The Hail for Star Wars! Missile Defense! George Bush II, Dick Cheney, our Military Idiots, want to put weapons in space to “control and dominate” it. Control and dominate access to the moon, to the stratosphere and atmosphere beyond Earth, and to the other planets, rather than attain a rational sharing of the heavenly bodies and the space around them. For the common good. As in the Outer Space Treaty of 1967[#] which we primarily composed. After the USSR launched the Sputnik satellite way back in 1957. [Check “Key Documents You Should Read” on this website]
Yes, our corporations want to drain the pork barrel, and the hearts of Americans and other Earthlings too.
From Mary Beth Sullivan: “Thirty-four weapons corporations CEOs received record salaries in recent years. Since 9/11, the top profiteers were the CEOs of United Technologies ($200 million), General Dynamics ($65 million), Lockheed Martin ($50 million), and Halliburton ($49 million). The average army private makes $25,000 a year. The average defense CEO makes $7.7 million.
The weapons industry is not concerned about the fact that a U.S. congress controlled by Democrats will have a negative impact on the bottom line. It fully expects that the Democrats will control their impulse to cut military
spending to accommodate increases in health care, education and other social programs. The Democrats won’t want to look “weak on defense.” Investment brokers are quite confident in the military industrial complex as
a growth market for investors.
The U.S. arms industry is the second most heavily subsidized unit of the economy after agriculture. Arms exporters know they can rely on American taxpayers for billions of dollars annually to market and finance sales of their products. After all, taxpayers foot the bill for the weapons research and development work in the first place.”[##]

So, try to think about what is happening and whom you can alert to help spread the truth, that lights the night, showing the rats getting fat. And, perhaps ponder a weaponless space being violated, when it could be a peaceful commons as that Outer Space Treaty of 1967 declares. Realize that since weapons are our primary industrial product, and weapons industry lobbyists are ultrapowerful in our Washington DC, this is ill affecting our political process. Leading impotent minds like those of George Bush to do what he is doing. Thinking God will protect America from the sins it is heaping on its karma.
“You can never outrun your karma.” >> was it Ed Cuccia who said that??

You are the father. You are the mother. You are the Granpa. You are the Grandma. You know. Now. Are you an ostrich with your head in the ground? Or a radioactive-dodo-to-shortly-be? Open your mouths and be a citizen that would make Thomas Jefferson proud. Not Saddam Hussein, Adolph Hitler, or our pitiful present President with his current 29% approval rating,***** who should really be impeached, as 50% of Americans polled a few years back have already said, when asked if he misled us to go and attack Iraq, should he be? More of the Sheehan quote from the nation source quoted above:
It is reasonable to argue with Sheehan about her read of politics and assessment of politicians. She’s the first to admit she’s no expert on campaign strategy or legislative tactics. But we should recognize the troubling turn politics have taken when one of democracy’s true believers ends her intense activism by saying, “I am deemed a radical because I believe that partisan politics should be left to the wayside when hundreds of thousands of people are dying for a war based on lies that is supported by Democrats and Republicans alike. It amazes me that people who are sharp on the issues and can zero in like a laser beam on lies, misrepresentations, and political expediency when it comes to one party refuse to recognize it in their own party. Blind party loyalty is dangerous whatever side it occurs on…. If we don’t find alternatives to this corrupt ‘two’ party system our Representative Republic will die and be replaced with what we are rapidly descending into with nary a check or balance: a fascist corporate wasteland.”
